Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our Operational Department, who will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of OHSE (Occupational Health, Safety and Environment) Management System & processes for Zain Jordan scope offices, Data centers, bunker and other sites where applicable. In addition to being proactive in reporting unsafe act & unsafe conditions and providing needed awareness to prevent unpredicted incidents to people, assets and reputation, also working closely with operations team to ensure safe execution of all activities within Zain premises.
Main tasks will include but will not be limited to:
▪ Exercising high responsiveness skills in cases of incidents and dealing with the emergency in accordance with the functions’ standards and procedures to prevent risk escalation.
▪ Conducting awareness sessions and educational programs to promote organizational health, safety and environment awareness through demonstrating the use of safety equipment and clarifying the evacuation plan, as well as providing advice on health and safety matters.
▪ Participating in investigations held in case of injuries and hazardous incidents to identify their causes, preparing to clarify the causes, and providing recommendations to prevent their occurrence in the future.
▪ Recommending alternatives for situations and positions that impose risks on employees’ health such as awkward standing and seating postures to prevent accumulated occupational injuries.
▪ Evaluating Zain’s facilities through going over a comprehensive checklist in a daily and weekly basis which includes checking the status and availability of safety equipment, first aid supplies,…etc in order to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards and regulations and reporting violations
What Do You Need to Qualify
To be shortlisted for the position, you will need to comply with all of the below requirements:
▪ Holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
▪ Has 0-2 year of experience
▪ Has knowledge related to (Fire Safety – CPR & First aid – Electrical Safety - Confined Space entry & Rescue – Safety inspection – Manual handling – Working at Heights )
▪ Having knowledge in (ISO 45001 – ISO 14001:2015 - NEBOSH - OSHA) is a plus
