Job location : Amman, Jordan
Main responsibilities:
- Comply with all safety regulations (including isolation, lock out and tag out) and develop SOPs in order to protect personnel and equipment during work execution.
- To implement contract management process.
- To ensure that the work is executed according to Wartsila Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
- Independently perform routine mechanical maintenance and major overhauling activities of Wartsila HFO engine-based power plant comprising Wartsila HFO engine, Separators, compressors, boilers, water treatment plant, HFO fuel handling system, pumps etc.
- Recording of measurements with respect to the major overhauling of all plant equipment. Spare part planning and proactive maintenance planning based on measurement records.
- Plant parameter evaluation and proactive corrective actions to maintain plant equipment's healthiness.
- Create and maintain equipment maintenance history and work reports according to guidelines.
- To prepare, review and update the annual operation plan and maintenance schedule for the installation.
- To analyze equipment failure/tripping and provide root cause analysis report along with proposed preventive/corrective actions as per contract management process.
- Evaluation of system water, lube oil and fuel oil analysis report, trending of parameters and suggesting fluid management.
- To recommend and implement modifications and improvements to the installation.
- To plan spare part/consumables requirements and periodic review to ensure their availability.
- Familiar with Maximo, CRM, Tech Request, TKB etc.
Desired technical skills:
- Knowledge of O & M of HFO-based Wartsila Power Plants
- Knowledge of power plant Mechanical and equipment.
- Knowledge of technical and commercial contractual terms
- Computer proficiency: MS Word & MS Excel
- Knowledge about OHSAS 18001
- Knowledge about Emergency Preparedness and Response to Emergencies
- Knowledge about the safety systems to be followed while working in a power plant.
Education:
Graduate/Diploma Engineering in Mechanical with 10 - 15 years of Mechanical Maintenance experience in HFO based Multi-engine Wartsila Powerplants.
