Description
- Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
- Strive to eliminate dev/ops silos and automate processes
- Setting up tools, pipelines, required infrastructure for software delivery
- Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
- Troubleshooting techniques
- Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
- Monitoring systems and proactively responding to incidents and capacity planning
- Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
- Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
- Incidence management and root cause analysis
- Coordination and communication within the team and cross teams
- Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
- Manage stakeholders and coordinate software releases across teams
Requirements
- Computer science or a related university degree
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer
- Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
- Good understanding of bash, Python or node.js
- Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo
- Configuration and managing web servers such as Apache, Nginx
- Excellent understanding of networking
- Excellent troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
- Experience in various systems and application monitoring tools
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevSecOps and Agile principles
- Working knowledge of building CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery
- Working knowledge of any configuration management and deployment tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform
- Certification from major cloud providers is a plus
- Working knowledge of containers, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
